Pillen Group has been the specialist in precision machining since 1956. Various machining operations are performed in-house on our machinery: CNC milling, CNC turning. Through our own engineering, prototyping, project management you can contact us from idea to finished product in the
machining supply. We have several 24/7 machining centers at our disposal, so we can easily meet your increasing demand for larger series. You can come to us from the very inception of an idea.

Machining is a particular metalworking process that can include turning, milling, planing, stabbing, drilling, sawing, milling, broaching and grinding.
This involves the use of proper machinery, materials and tools. Various environmental factors can greatly affect the final product.
Series sizes
Pillen is primarily geared to medium to large series precision mechanical machining. We do not turn our hand to prototyping and or single pieces but we are most powerful in medium to large repetitive series. The equipment (tooling, software control) is set up in such a way that we can quickly change from one job to another.
Product sizes
We focus on precision machining in sizes ≤ 500 x 500 x 500 mm. We also perform horizontal and vertical milling in (non-) ferrous metals up to a maximum workpiece length of 3200 mm on our CNC-controlled machining centers. At this length, the focus is more on single pieces to medium series. Our precision department is equipped to produce parts, modules and assemblies for:
- analytical market & medical industry;
- automotive industry;
- defense industry;
- flow and gas meter industry;
- high-tech industry;
- machine and equipment construction.
Environment and sustainability
The production facilities are fully conditioned with a sustainable vision. This means that we have a completely gasless site and also generate our own energy consumption as much as possible ourselves. Finally, we are strongly committed to the involvement of our team members and lifelong learning, so that craftsmanship also continues to develop sustainably.
More reach, more output, more continuity – New Hedelius Tiltenta 7-2600
The new Tiltenta 7-2600 will initially be used for the production of profiles applied in the medical industry. These components, for example, require:
✔ a reach of approximately 2,600 mm to machine long profiles;
✔ a 4th axis between centers for dynamic milling operations;
✔ and unmanned production to remain cost-efficient.
With the existing Hedelius CB3200, we are reaching the limits in these areas. The new machine enables us to take on annual orders, ensure continuity, and even make night production possible.
Our compentences
Diversity of fine mechanical machining parts
We are increasingly deploying smart technology to produce a wide variety of workpieces more efficiently, or according to the High-mix Low-volume system. With the use of pallet systems, clamping columns and clamping methods, we can machine a mix of different parts/products on one machine tool, in one on tension which benefits speed and product accuracy.
Quality control with CNC turning-milling combinations
Several CNC turning machining centers are equipped with an automated bar feeder and driven tools that can produce complex parts up to Ø65mm in one or two fixtures. We load larger components up to Ø500mm manually or with the use of a robot. In addition to our CNC turning centers, we also have several fully robotized turning-milling combinations to ensure quality in a single
operation and also to be able to produce unmanned.
Efficient 5-axis CNC milling machining centers
We have several 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC machining centers with many of these machining machines being fully automated and equipped with automatic pallet systems. The machines can be quickly supplied with different products and tools which enables flexible 24/7 production.
Multitasking with turn-mill combinations 24/7
For machining complex and/or laborious products in medium to larger series, we use our so-called ‘multitasking machines’. With these versatile machines, we can both turn and mill in one setup. This improves accuracy and cycle time compared to a routing with separate operations via one or more turning or milling machines.
