CNC milling

The Pillen Group has an extensive air-conditioned machine park with machining milling machines. A large part of our machinery is automated, which means 24-hour production, manned and unmanned. The machines can be controlled remotely using our cad/cam system.

Our machine park also has various CNC milling-turning combinations that can both mill and turn. This form of machining ensures that we can simultaneously turn and mill in one setup. This is a specific machining method to make products as efficiently and accurately as possible.

What is CNC Milling?

CNC milling is a method of machining in which material is removed by means of a milling cutter, a rotating tool that passes the clamped product for processing.

How does CNC milling work?

With milling, the material is secured in a clamp that removes the material from the product by means of a rotating cutter, with which we make complex products.

How does CNC milling work?

Milling is often chosen if the product consists of non-round workpieces. If this product has to be milled, it will have to be milled circularly, which will take more time than when it is rotated. However, the workpiece remains dependent on the best option (turning or milling). We can properly assess this by means of a drawing.
