Body covers

At Pillen Group we process different types of body covers (also called housings) from different alloys (raw materials) for various purposes.

The housing shown below is a component that is used for gas and control technology. The production and manufacture of these body covers requires high precision accuracy.

Description

Body covers are produced in series ranging from hundreds to thousands of pieces, using our 24/7 precision mechanical machine cells equipped with pallets and possibly a robotised process. These products can be manufactured from various materials such as aluminium, aluminium extrusion profile, steel or stainless steel. A specific example concerns the use of certified stainless steel, where certificates such as 3.1 or 3.2 guarantee traceability. Within Pillen Precision, there is the authority to over-stamp materials (GO304), which further ensures traceability, and if required, we can also provide complete PED registration. Material selection is tailored to customer specifications and machining options are adjusted accordingly. The body covers consist of a combination of sheet metal and machined parts carefully assembled via robotic welding. In our air-conditioned precision machining facilities, the housings are milled on high-quality machines to meet the strict dimensional requirements expected by our customers.
