Our production processes and facilities are set up for the production, manufacture and registration of components for this industry and market. Pillen also holds the various certifications to meet the requirements of this target market.

Production set up for the gas and flow meter industry
For decades, Pillen has been equipped to process various components for flow meters and appendages. Pillen Precision is the business unit with this specialist and high-quality knowledge.
Highly accurate machining of aluminium extrusions and aluminium castings is often required. Critical tolerances are required here.
Pillen is a high-tech manufacturer and supplier of components for the flow and gas meter industry. These sectors are characterised by durability, high precision and very high quality requirements. Measuring liquids, gases and vapour flows is a precise process and requires craftsmanship.
Testing center and ultrasonic testing
Pillen has its own testing facilities, incompany and all under one roof.
- Testing of parts;
- Checking of sub-assemblies for example;
- Testing of components by means of pressure tests.
High end precision measuring parts
Precision parts are machined on various machining centres to tolerances of ±0.05 mm. Zero points are important reference points and are monitored with a Renishaw 3D probe in the various machines. Roughness, or Ra value, is essential in Flowmeter component supply
X-ray measurements and examinations
Pillen also has the facilities to perform X-ray measurements and research. This room is fully compliant with current requirements and is used to measure midstream components in the energy world, but we also make it available to third parties to carry out measurements of other products and components.
In addition, tests and measurements can also be carried out using an ultrasonic test technique.
