History Pillen
Fifty years ago, in june 1956 the "Winterswijkse Metaalindustrie" was founded by Theo and Catarina Pillen. Pillen moved several times in the city Winterswijk. From 1965 Pillen is settled in Lichtenvoorde. Nowadays Pillen has got 3 production facilities in Lichtenvoorde on more than 3 hectar.
The first products
The development of the television has been very important for Pillen. In these years Pillen produced antennas for the television industry. Also the moment when gas was found in "Slochteren" in the north of Holland, had a big influence on the development of Pillen. Pillen developed several parts in cooperation with a partner which produced gas heating units.
50 years later
Pillen is specialized in variable industries. Through the years our knowledge, machinery and production facility has grown. The four companies of Pillen have a sustaible competive advantage according our collegues. We have also several own brands with succesfull products: Pillen Checkouts and Pillen Heating supplying international markets. Nowadays it is not just producing a product but it is the full package of value added services. So belong assembling, warehousing activities also to the possibilities at Pillen.
